Abstract
|
|
|
1) The measurements of body surface area in Koreanchildren, 6-14 years boys and 6-l2 years girls, were undertaken and were compared with thecalculation from the formulas of DuBois, Choi, Otani and Scammon-Boyd. Then the modified formulas to estimate the body surface area in Korean children were devised.
2) The author´s modified formula "W1/2 x H1/2 x 17i.3" of Otani´s was most satisfactorily to eatimate the body surface area in Korean children.
3) The DuBois´ formula "Wo.425xH0.725 x71.84" wasa lso practical for the estimation of the body surface area in Korean children.
